The Blazing Star
PROLOGUE
A girl crept softly into the bushes, not wanting to be seen by her worst enemy. She leaped from the bush to the tree, making no sound. ‘Whatever you do, Eric, stay away from me.’ She snarled silently. Too late, the shape of a man appeared below the girl. “Come out, come out where ever you are, Ms.Feather.” the man jeered, his voice dripping with menace. His eyes were such red; you would think they had been stained by blood. The girl shifted, which made a rustle. Eric whipped around, glaring at the girl’s tree. “I know you’re there, Ms.Feather. Come out NOW.”
The girl leaped from the tree to Eric. “My name is BLAZE!” she growled viciously. Eric walked slowly around her. “Your parents made a promise to me when we were younger that you would marry me, am I right?” he said, putting his arms slowly around Blaze. Blaze used her arms to send Eric crashing into trees. “Stay away from me you pile of crap!” she snarled. Eric stood up
